IMPORTANCE OF JANAMADIN PUJA

The arrival of a person on this planet for the first time is always special to him/her and their family. Janamdin or birthday is joyfully celebrated in all the regions of the globe. On this auspicious day, people take bath early in the morning and arrange a plate filled with incense sticks, flowers, sweets, Bel Patra and few other things to offer a specific deity in the nearby or desired temple. With the Janamdin Puja, people seek a long and healthy life for themselves and the family members. In Hindu culture, before the evening bash to celebrate the birthday, people perform a mini or grand Puja at home or temple. Hindus seek forgiveness for all the sins done by them throughout the year on their birthday.

On the occasion of one's birthday, the priest performs the Abhishek ritual on the host's demand and does Aarti along with the recitation of various Mantras seeking the host's long life. The name, father's name and Gotra of the host are recited along with the Mantra. Some people give new clothes for the God's idol and the Pandit on their birthday.

Janamdin Puja or Birthday Puja is the celebrated to mark the day of the birth and get blessings from our parents, ista dev and kula dev. It is the day we are born, the timing of which decides our future based on the rashi and nakshatra. Its very important to perform the graha shanti and Ayush havan to nullify the bad effects of the planet in our horoscope and blessed with happy life.

On this day panditji performs gauri ganesh kalash navgraha puja and do havan.
